Terms of Service
1. Service
ON REAL offers the Japan Source & Accuracy Audit Sprint as research-based editorial quality assurance for agreed English-language content about Japan.
The service may identify source gaps, information-freshness issues, wording that exceeds available evidence, missing cultural context, and correction priorities. It does not certify perfect accuracy or guarantee that every issue can be found.
2. Beta scope
- Fee: $750 USD, paid in full before work begins.
- Capacity: three paid beta engagements.
- Scope: up to three agreed English-language assets within one defined topic or content package.
- Combined input limit: up to 4,000 English words, or up to 30 minutes of audio or video supplied with an editable English transcript.
- Claim limit: up to 15 prioritized factual claims.
- Research: up to 15 relevant Japanese-language primary or authoritative sources, where available.
- Format: fully remote and asynchronous.
- Renewal: no subscription or automatic renewal.
Final accepted assets, topic boundary, exclusions, and required materials must be confirmed in writing before payment. If a request exceeds the limits above, the parties must either narrow the scope or agree to a separate written quote before payment.
3. Start condition and delivery
The seven-business-day delivery period begins only after all of the following are complete: payment, written scope confirmation, and receipt of all required inputs in an accessible form.
A payment by itself does not start the delivery period.
4. Client responsibilities
- Provide only materials the client is authorized to share.
- Remove passwords and unnecessary personal, confidential, or regulated information.
- Supply editable transcripts for audio or video materials.
- Identify the intended audience, publication timing, and review questions.
- Make final editorial, legal, regulatory, and publication decisions independently.
5. Exclusions
The beta does not include travel planning or booking, personalized itineraries, translation, full English rewriting, editing, publishing, content implementation, legal or regulatory advice, medical or nutritional advice, tax advice, software, integrations, automation, SaaS, ongoing monitoring, or guaranteed commercial results.
6. Clarification round
One written clarification round is included when submitted within seven calendar days after delivery. It is limited to questions about the delivered audit and does not expand the agreed scope.
7. Cancellation, refunds, and data
Cancellation and refund handling is governed by the separate Cancellation & Refund page. Information handling is governed by the separate Privacy & Data Handling page.
8. Client materials and audit deliverables
The client retains its rights in the materials it provides. ON REAL may use those materials only to evaluate the request, perform the agreed audit, communicate with the client, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
The client may use the delivered audit for its own editorial and business decision-making. ON REAL retains its pre-existing methods, templates, checklists, and general know-how.
9. Beta disclosure
ON REAL does not yet claim English-market client case studies for this service. Participation does not require a testimonial or permission to identify the client or its content.
10. Contact and applicable rights
Questions about these terms may be sent to on.real.2024@gmail.com. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
