Japan content can look polished and still carry avoidable risk

Japan-related content often depends on information that changes, loses context in translation, or is repeated from secondary English sources without a clear evidence trail.

Before publication, an editorial team may still need to answer:

  • Is this claim supported by a current Japanese source?
  • Has a price, rule, schedule, access condition, or official name changed?
  • Does the English wording remove context or sound broader than the evidence?
  • Is the statement factual, interpretive, promotional, or currently unverifiable?
  • Which corrections matter most before publication?

The Japan Source & Accuracy Audit Sprint turns those questions into a documented review and a prioritized correction plan.

What the audit reviews

  1. 01

Source support — Whether important factual claims can be connected to relevant Japanese-language primary or authoritative sources.

  2. 02

Information freshness — Whether dates, prices, rules, names, schedules, access details, and other changeable information appear current.

  3. 03

Claim precision — Whether the wording goes beyond what the available evidence supports.

  4. 04

Cultural context — Whether missing context could create a misleading generalization or avoidable misunderstanding.

  5. 05

Correction priority — Which issues should be addressed first based on potential reader impact and editorial effort.

What you receive

  • An executive audit summary
  • A source dossier containing up to 15 relevant Japanese-language primary or authoritative sources, where available
  • A claim ledger showing the reviewed claim, source status, freshness, context, risk level, and recommended correction direction
  • A RED / AMBER / GREEN risk register
  • A prioritized list of corrections to consider before publication
  • One written clarification round submitted within seven calendar days after delivery

Delivered within seven business days after payment, written scope confirmation, and receipt of all required inputs.

The audit identifies evidence gaps and correction priorities. It does not include a full English rewrite, content implementation, or a guarantee that every statement has a definitive source.

The beta can review up to three agreed English-language assets within one defined topic or content package, such as:

  • Articles or editorial drafts
  • Video or podcast scripts

Combined input limit: up to 4,000 English words, or up to 30 minutes of audio or video supplied with an editable English transcript. The audit covers up to 15 prioritized factual claims. If the request exceeds these limits, we will either narrow the scope or provide a separate written quote before payment.
